The Collegiate Worship Collective exists to encourage, equip, and connect undergraduate and seminary students who sense God’s call to serve the local church through worship and music ministry.
More than a performance opportunity, the Collective is a leadership development experience. Students from colleges and seminaries across the country gather during the Southern Baptist Church Music Conference to worship, rehearse, learn, serve, and build friendships with others preparing for ministry.
Whether you are preparing to serve as a worship pastor, minister of music, church musician, songwriter, educator, or simply desire to use your gifts more effectively in the local church, there is a place for you at SBCMC.

The Collegiate Worship Collective is open to full-time students enrolled at accredited colleges, universities, and seminaries.

You do not have to participate in the Collective Choir to attend the SBCMC Conference. College and seminary students who simply want to attend, learn, worship, and connect are also welcome.
Why SBCMC?
Many students will attend conferences during their college or seminary years. Few will place them in the same room with:
- Worship pastors and ministers of music
- College and seminary professors
- Denominational ministry leaders
- Songwriters, composers, and arrangers
- Church musicians from across the country
SBCMC creates a unique opportunity to learn from those leaders, worship beside them, and begin relationships that can shape a lifetime of ministry.

The Collegiate Worship Collective Choir
The Collegiate Worship Collective Choir brings together full-time students from colleges and seminaries across the Southern Baptist Convention to lead worship during the SBCMC Annual Conference.
As students rehearse and serve together, they develop as musicians, build lasting friendships, and experience the encouragement of being part of a community committed to serving Christ and His Church.
Our hope is that every participant leaves not only as a stronger musician, but as a more faithful and confident worship leader, prepared to serve the local church.

How Would You Like to Participate?
I Want to Sing in the Collective Choir
Participation in the Collective Choir requires both an application and SBCMC Conference registration.
Complete the Choir Application
Applications open September 1, 2026. The information helps the leadership team build a balanced choir, communicate with faculty sponsors, and plan housing, rehearsals, and conference logistics.
Register for the SBCMC Conference
Complete the SBCMC Conference registration and select the Student registration option. Student registration is $50.
I Want to Attend but Am Not Planning to Sing
College and seminary students who are not participating in the Collegiate Worship Collective Choir are still encouraged to attend the full SBCMC Conference.
You will be able to participate in worship gatherings, conference sessions, concerts, breakouts, and opportunities to connect with other students and ministry leaders.
Simply complete the regular SBCMC Conference registration and select the Student registration option.
No choir application is needed when attending the conference without participating in the Collective Choir.
